Help shape the future of San Rafael and Northgate Mall by participating in the virtual Planning Commission meeting to discuss the Draft General Plan 2040. Topics include land use, neighborhoods, community design, preservation, conservation, climate change, parks/open space, safety, and noise. Comments and questions from the public will be addressed.

The General Plan, which has a time horizon of about 20 years, includes San Rafael's vision for its future, including policies for growth and conservation of the city. In order to avoid short-term and unsustainable “solutions” to Northgate Mall, we need to stay engaged and advocate for a vision aligned with our community-centered mission and values.

The city encourages community participation and has created a comprehensive portal to inform residents about Draft Plan 2040 before it is officially adopted. Please join us! It’s our community and our future!
